Expanding Heritage Crafts - Basket Making!

April 17, 2018

Always keen to expand the teaching of heritage crafts, we have sought out renowned Welsh basket maker, Clare Revera.

She will be coming to the Gower Heritage Centre on 28th July to teach a full day of basket making techniques!  I am super excited about this!

We will be getting together to make Welsh fruit/bread baskets.  A fantastic opportunity to go home with a traditional Welsh heirloom that would look good in any home.

She will teach us about growing and harvesting willow and the traditional techniques used to make these beautiful baskets.

We plan to hold the workshop in the woollen mill but if the weather is really kind to us, we may even find a spot outside in the sunshine!  Whichever way, it promises to be a fantastic day with fantastic people learning fantastic heritage skills...what could be better?

Pass the message on and drop us an email to book your place.  We have 6 spaces available and would really love to meet you!
